It has a warm, spicy flavor profile, but with a more bitter and camphor-like note than its relatives. It has been used for centuries in traditional medicine and perfumery.

Kapur Sugandhi, or Zedoary, is a unique aromatic herb used in Ayurveda to stimulate digestion and purify the blood. Its warming and pungent nature makes it excellent for pacifying the Kapha dosha. It is a potent carminative, used to relieve abdominal cramps, gas, and indigestion. It also acts as a natural expectorant, helping to clear congestion from the respiratory tract.

For a Digestive Tonic: A small amount of the powder can be taken with warm water and honey before meals to help stimulate digestive fire (Agni).
For Respiratory Relief: The powder can be used in a steam inhalation to help break up mucus and clear congestion.
