OUR CERTIFICATIONS

Overview

Triphala is not a single herb, but a precise combination of three fruits: Amla (Phyllanthus emblica), a cooling antioxidant; Bibhitaki (Terminalia bellerica), a kapha-balancing astringent; and Haritaki (Terminalia chebula), a vata-balancing rejuvenator. Together, they work synergistically to cleanse, tone, and nourish the entire digestive tract.

Triphala is arguably the most famous and important formula in all of Ayurveda. This blend of three fruits is a tridoshic marvel, balancing Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. It is a powerful Rasayana (rejuvenator) for the entire body, but it is most celebrated as a gentle digestive tonic and colon cleanser. It supports healthy digestion, promotes regular bowel movements without being a harsh laxative, and powerfully detoxifies the system.

  • For a Daily Gentle Detox: Mix half to one teaspoon of Triphala powder in a cup of warm water and let it sit overnight or for at least 15 minutes. Drink the mixture in the morning on an empty stomach or before bed.
  • For an Eye-Cleansing Wash: A very weak, well-strained decoction of Triphala can be used as a sterile eyewash to soothe tired or irritated eyes.
