OUR CERTIFICATIONS

Overview

Guggul is the gum resin produced from the sap of the Commiphora wightii tree, a small, thorny tree native to the arid regions of India. The resin is tapped from the tree in a process similar to collecting maple syrup. It contains active compounds called guggulsterones, which are believed to be responsible for its cholesterol-lowering and anti-inflammatory effects.

Guggulu is one of the most important and powerful purifying resins in Ayurveda. Its scraping and detoxifying properties make it excellent for pacifying Vata and Kapha. It is a premier herb for managing healthy cholesterol levels and supporting weight management. It is also a potent anti-inflammatory, famously used to treat joint pain and arthritis.

For Joint Health & Cholesterol Support: Guggulu is typically used in classical tablet or powder formulations and should be taken under the guidance of an Ayurvedic practitioner.
As a Purifying Incense: The raw resin can be burned over charcoal to create a purifying smoke that cleanses the atmosphere.
