OUR CERTIFICATIONS

Overview

Gotu Kola is a small, herbaceous perennial plant that grows in wetlands and is identifiable by its fan-shaped leaves. It is often called the “herb of longevity” and is prized for its neuro-supportive and skin-rejuvenating properties. The active compounds, triterpenoid saponins, are believed to be responsible for its benefits to both cognitive function and skin health.

French: Centella asiatica, Herbe du tigre
German: Indischer Wassernabel
Chinese: Jī xuě cǎo (积雪草)
Arabic: رة ا رض (Surrat al-ard)
Spanish: Centella asiática
Russian: Готу кола (Gotu kola)
Japanese: ゴツコラ (Gotsukora), ツボクサ (Tsubokusa)

Gotu Kola is a revered brain tonic (Medhya Rasayana) in Ayurveda, often confused with Brahmi (Bacopa monnieri) but with its own unique strengths. It is tridoshic and is especially known for its ability to support the nervous system, enhance concentration, and promote mental clarity. It is also a powerful blood purifier and supports healthy skin by promoting collagen synthesis and wound healing.

For Mental Clarity: Mix half a teaspoon of Gotu Kola powder with warm water or ghee and a little honey. Consume daily to support cognitive function.
For Skin Rejuvenation: A paste of the powder can be mixed with water or aloe vera gel and applied to the skin to promote healing and a youthful complexion.
