Amla, or Amalaki, is one of the most important herbs in Ayurveda, revered as a master Rasayana (rejuvenator). It is famous for being one of the richest natural sources of Vitamin C. It is a tridoshic herb, but especially effective at pacifying Pitta. It is used to boost immunity, support healthy digestion, and rejuvenate all the body’s tissues. For hair, it is a powerful tonic that strengthens roots, prevents premature graying, and promotes growth

For an Immunity-Boosting Drink: Mix 1 teaspoon of Amla powder into a glass of lukewarm water and drink first thing in the morning.
For a Hair Strengthening Mask: Combine Amla powder with water or yogurt to form a paste. Apply to the scalp and hair, leave for 30 minutes, and rinse. It is a superb natural conditioner and can enhance curl patterns.
As a Henna Color Deepener: Add Amla powder to your Henna paste to achieve cooler, ashier tones and prevent the color from fading to orange.
