Overview

Henna is a flowering shrub whose leaves contain a powerful pigment molecule called Lawsone. The Henna grown in the arid, mineral-rich soils of our home, Sojat City in Rajasthan, is globally renowned for its superior Lawsone content, resulting in the deepest, most vibrant, and longest-lasting color. It naturally conditions the hair by binding to the keratin, making each strand thicker, stronger, and glossier.

General Usage

Celebrated for millennia, Henna is one of Ayurveda’s most cherished herbs for hair care and body art. Its primary use is as a natural hair colorant, imparting rich, reddish-brown tones. In Ayurveda, it is known for its cooling properties (Sheeta Virya), which pacify the Pitta dosha, soothing the scalp and reducing inflammation. It is a powerful Kesharanjana (hair colorant) and Keshya (promotes hair health), strengthening the hair shaft and adding immense shine.

Rituals of Use

● For Rich Hair Color & Conditioning: Mix Henna powder with a warm, mildly acidic liquid like lemon juice or chamomile tea to form a paste the consistency of mashed potatoes. Let the paste sit for 6-12 hours for dye-release. Apply thoroughly to clean hair, cover, and leave for 2-4 hours. Rinse with water only. The color will deepen over the next 48 hours.
