OUR CERTIFICATIONS

Overview

Native to Australia, the Eucalyptus tree, particularly the Blue Gum (Eucalyptus globulus), is now widely cultivated in the Nilgiri Hills of India. Its leaves are rich in a powerful compound called eucalyptol (cineole), which is responsible for its signature aroma and profound therapeutic effects on the respiratory system.

French: Eucalyptus
German: Eukalyptus
Chinese: Ān shù (桉树)
Arabic: أو وس (Eukaliptus)
Spanish: Eucalipto
Russian: Эвкалипт (Evkalipt)
Japanese: ユーカリ (Yūkari)

Eucalyptus is a world-renowned herb for respiratory health. In Ayurveda, its powerful, penetrating nature is used to clear Kapha dosha congestion from the lungs and sinuses. It is a potent expectorant and antiseptic. The steam from its leaves is inhaled to relieve coughs, colds, and sinus pressure. Its oil is also used topically in balms to ease muscle and joint pain.

For a Decongesting Steam Inhalation: Add 1-2 tsp of the powder or a few whole leaves to a bowl of hot water. Lean over the bowl with a towel covering your head and inhale the steam deeply for 5-10 minutes to clear congestion.
For a Purifying Room Scent: Simmer the powder or leaves in a pot of water to freshen the air and promote a clean, healthy environment.
