In Ayurveda, the pods of the Babool tree are known for their potent Kashaya (astringent) and Grahi (absorbent) properties. They are traditionally used to support oral hygiene, strengthen gums, and tighten tissues. Due to its cooling nature and ability to pacify the Kapha and Pitta doshas, a decoction of the pods is used as a gargle and for managing skin conditions and diarrhea.
● For an Oral Care Powder (Manjan): Mix Babool Fali powder with a pinch of salt and clove powder. Gently massage a small amount onto the teeth and gums, leave for a few minutes, and rinse thoroughly.
● For a Skin-Tightening Pack: Create a paste with the powder and water. Apply to the skin to help tighten pores and absorb excess oil.
